VALS-ASLA conference 2020

Applied linguistics in the digital age
VALS-ASLA Conference, February 12-14, 2020, University of Neuchâtel

The "digital revolution" has a profound impact on our society, affecting both professional processes and everyday interactions as well as teaching and learning practices in various contexts. How does applied linguistics respond to this "revolution"? What role can it play to better understand the social and educational dimensions of this digital transformation? What new areas of study will emerge? And what new research methods will develop?
This conference will explore the challenges and opportunities of digitalization for linguistics along three themes:

- new technologies and communication;
- learning, teaching, and digital tools;
- the methodological and analytical possibilities of digitalization.
